 DIA DAS CRIANÇAS/DIA DE NOSSA SENHORA APARECIDA 2024

No dia 12 de outubro, comemoramos duas datas especiais. O dia das Crianças e o dia de Nossa Senhora Aparecida. O dia das crianças, remete às pessoas a alegria e a inocência de ser crianças e faz até os adultos se recordarem das brincadeiras e das bagunças da infância, época em que no mesmo dia dava para brincar de herói, vilão, explorador, pega-pega, enfim… de tudo. No dia das crianças, o presente é garantido, para lembrar as crianças que o dever e o direito delas é brincar e ser o que há de melhor neste mundo, ser criança!

Já o dia de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, padroeira do Brasil é celebrado desde o século XVIII, quando em outubro de 1717 pescadores do Rio Paraíba do Sul encontraram a imagem da Nossa Senhora da Conceição em duas partes nas águas do rio, sucedendo após o aparecimento da santa uma pesca abundante.  A partir daí passaram a venerá-la e acreditam fielmente que a santa intercede e guia os caminhos de nossas vidas. Em 1930 o Papa Pio XI declarou-a como Rainha e Padroeira do Brasil.  Anualmente fiéis de todo o Brasil participam de missas, procissões e demonstram sua devoção à Virgem Maria, pedindo sua intercessão e proteção.

CHILDREN'S DAY/OUR LADY OF APARECIDA DAY 2024

On October 12th, we celebrate two special occasions: Children's Day and Our Lady of Aparecida Day. Children's Day brings to mind the joy and innocence of being a child, making even adults recall the playful and carefree days of their own childhood, a time when one could be a hero, villain, explorer, play tag, and so much more all in a single day. On this day, gifts are guaranteed, reminding children that their main duty and right is to play and be the best thing in this world: a child!

On the other hand, Our Lady of Aparecida Day, honoring the patron saint of Brazil, has been celebrated since the 18th century. In October of 1717, fishermen on the Paraíba do Sul River found a statue of Our Lady of Conception in two parts in the river's waters. Shortly after, a bountiful catch followed the saint’s appearance. From then on, people began to venerate her, believing firmly that she intercedes and guides the paths of their lives. In 1930, Pope Pius XI declared her Queen and Patroness of Brazil. Every year, devotees from all over the country attend Masses, processions, and express their devotion to the Virgin Mary, seeking her intercession and protection.
